“Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.”
Oscar Wilde
May you always have love in your life…
THE END
What lovely words. 😀
Thanks. Glad that you liked them 🙂
🙂
Love this!
🙂
Love Oscar Wilde’s quote.
It reminds me one of my own saying “Doing good deeds are like sowing good seeds, one might not be benefited the very moment. It would take time, lots of time. By the time one gets tired out of a sunny day, those deeds will serve the shade in from a big banyan tree, also shading millions of life forms”.
Milne’s quote reminds another one of his quote
‘Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?’
‘Supposing it didn’t,’ said Pooh after careful thought.
Loved your saying, Satzie, and another of Milne’s quote. 🙂
🙂
Also quoting another great writer, William Blake in “Proverbs of Hell” – ‘The most sublime act is to set another before you’, which is what active love does. This was a smile-maker 🙂
Loved that quote. So true 🙂
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of the EE Cummings poem that always brings a tear to my eye:
“I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)I am never without it (anywhere I go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling) I fear no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet)I want no world (for beautiful you are my world,my true) and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)”
Beautiful poem. Loved it. Thanks for sharing it 🙂
Simply beautiful… love may change hands, wax and wan, but keeping some form of it close is the key to happiness. =) =)
🙂
I’ve always loved this saying.
