A smile is cheer from you to me,
the cost is nothing its given for free.
They console the weary and gladden the sad.
And can make someone happy when they are mad.
Unlike blessings in which we pray
its the only thing you keep when you give it away.
THE END
Brilliant drawings, she was incredible! And the picture and poem worked to perfection, I was smiling profusely as I read it! 🙂 Thank you for a lovely share! Namaste

Loved your blog, especially the most recent post about a single mum. This post brought tears to my eyes. My nanna was a single mum with two kids – went through lots of hardships in life. I wrote a little post about her a while ago at https://otrazhenie.wordpress.com/2012/08/11/nanna/
Thanks for loving my Blog, The post tells a true story as well. I have your Post “NANNA” it is very moving
So true O, the smile you can give away all day and still keep iy, amazing isn’t it. The sand drawing girl is unbelievable, I saw her do one about the story of a village that was destroyed during the war, There were people in tears watching it, very powerful.
Thanks for sharing this today.
I also like Ksenia Simonova’s sand paintings. Check out one of her works at https://otrazhenie.wordpress.com/2012/07/25/write-injuries-in-sand/ – truly amazing. That was the first sand painting I’ve seen in my life. I was amazed to see the plain boring sand used for storytelling in a such creative way and with such a strong emotional impact on viewers. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Done it again Otrazhenie. 🍀

Hi there from here! yes, a smile is really essential… 🙂

🙂
off-topic, with your kind permission… 🙂
you may have noticed I had my blog’s address and its name changed about 3 weeks ago, as I was fed-up with those “traffic hunters”(fake likers!) who have chosen the WP-option to “like” automatically and immediately any post just micro-seconds after its edition!!! My last post at the previous addres got 85 “likers”, but their number has dramatically diminished afterwards, QED… 😀 I’m thoroughly interested in quality, not in quantity! 🙂 I mentioned at “about”:Andy Warhol said:”In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15′.” – well, I don’t look for those 15′ of virtual or real fame! 🙂
If you’re still interested in reading me, I guess you have to switch(to unsubscribe?) from my previous blog address to the new one: Mélanie’s crossroads @ http://myvirtualplayground.wordpress.com/

Thank you for your attention and respectful regards, Mélanie
Interesting point regarding fake likes, Melanie. I’ve checked my ‘likes’ but could not see any fake ones – all ‘likes’ seemed to be from familiar bloggers I met in the blogosphere. Surprised, that WP has an option for automatic ‘likes’. Never heard of it before. Glad to see you back on my blog – missed your insightful comments 🙂
lucky you! 🙂 it’s quite simple and easy to detect fake likers(traffic hunters!): your post contains, let’s say about 10 lines, it’s been just edited and 2 seconds later – oh surprise, it’s already and automatically “liked”! 😀 hellooo!!! 🙂

Merci-thanx for your kindness, I like your blog and I’ll visit you as often as possible… “De gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum…” = In matters of tastes and colors, there can be no disputes… 🙂
My very best and have a peaceful day, evening and night! 🙂
My “Likes” usually start coming within the first 30 min, so they look like genuine. Did not have any “Likes” popping up within seconds – that would look pretty weird. With regard to “De gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum…”, we say “Tastes differ.” 🙂 Feel like starting learning French now. Love listening to French – it sounds beautiful. 🙂
