What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this is if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare…

And the day that I understood my fear…I did stop and stare. And for the first time I saw the love within us all ❤️ 🙏🏽
🙂
So very beautiful
Glad that you liked this post, Annu 🙂
Take a dog for a leisurely walk, and you will find plenty of time to stop and stare. You may want to check out “Xena’s” blog called This One’s for you, Angel Lexi. Be sure to watch the dodo video at the end.

Very good idea! Thanks for your comment and a link to your post. Loved your post and the dodo video ❣️🙂👍
The first two lines have been a mantra of mine for several years now. My Mum loved this poem and would recite it regularly!
