The real joy is the joy of being yourself

“The real joy is the joy of being yourself. It is derived not from something that happens or some object, but from the very essence of your being.”

There is no “real joy”. We are neutral beings in the universe that came to be via chance. We have no purpose but the purpose we give ourselves, and we can derive happiness from whatever sources provide us with it.

    • Otrazhenie says:

Joy is a choice and the choice is always ours. We can choose to be players in our lives rather than powerless victims. We can choose our attitude to circumstances. We can choose happiness.

  13. Very inspirational quote! And yes, I love the picture, also. We can learn so much from children. 🙂

  14. Thanks for this post. These days, with all the pressure to be better, it’s hard to be happy just being myself. I’m thankful for this reminder.
