  1. This is a very provocative post O. I think all of us are imprisoned in one way or another by our mind. I would be the first to put his hand up. Somewhere between the early years and teenage years we acquire inhibitions which are another way of saying shackles that constrain us and constrain us in our everyday. How often are we in situations where one part of us wants to do something but the other part of our mind is telling not to so we don’t look stupid or dumb. Freeing oneself is a life long task I think but if we are aware of the ties that bind us then we can at least attempt to break them. Great post my friend.

So true, Michael. We all have lots of inhibitors in our lives. I find blogging helpful for freeing my mind a little bit. Freeing oneself is a life long tasks. Totally agree with you on that. Thanks for your insightful comment.

Agree. Sometimes you don’t even realise that you’re trapped. Your mind is both the best trickster in the world and at other times your best friend. I think you just have to become better dodger.

  6. The mind can be a prison, if you let it. The world around us (i feel) can feed that feeling and isolate people, even in a crowded room one can be isolated. But, our minds are also our greatest tool, we can overcome many things if we learn to look inwards and ‘break out’ of that prison.
Learning to look inside, and change ourselves from the inside, gives us true freedom.

This art says it all. Escaping a self imposed restriction is the ultimate freedom.
