I can’t see the keys anymore, but I remember them, in particular the subtle sounds, the nuances of flats and sharps, the subtleties that make music and thus life so rich A wonderful mental picture, thank you.
On the piano, in the Key of C, basically you play using all white keys. But wait until you begin to add the ‘accidentals’. That takes your sound to another dimension. Conversely, in the key of G flat, you need a couple of white keys to complete a full scale. Hence, no matter how bad the history of disappointments, ‘every cloud has a silver lining.” Awesome concept. I hope to remain mindful of this. Thanks.
I wish my life had a ratio of amount of visible white vs. visible black..right now, my life seems like really really big black keys and really really small white keys. not surprisingly, the song i currently play is full of discordance.

That’s beautiful.
Glad that you liked this post 🙂
It’s completely true. The white keys sound more beautiful than the dark, but in reality neither would sound as good without the other.
🙂

Sorry to hear that the black keys are dominating your life at the moment. Hope you’ll get the white keys back in your life soon 🙂
And I mean lots and lots of white keys 😉
