What is the meaning of life?

“What is the meaning of life?” was the first question in my latest award bouquet. I found answering this question very hard. Does life have a meaning? Does it need one? And then I came across this quote: “Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life.” So true. It liked this quote a lot. What meaning do you bring to life? You are the answer, not life. πŸ™‚

    I would like to respectfully disagree. Life has a meaning. One that is arbitrary and not subject to change. Here it is, summarized and encapsulated by one of my favorite authors, Mr. Michael Pearl of No Greater Joy Ministries:
    The Meaning of Life:
    I am here on this earth to:
    Glorify God;
    Reflect the image of Christ;
    Bless my fellow man;
    and give, minister, care, and sacrifice my life for the good of other people.

      Interesting point. Though I believe that religion is not necessary for having a ‘meaning’ in life. Non-religios people and non-christian people can have their own meaning in life, be caring and good to others.

        You may still have a wonderful life here before you die. But what if you are wrong and find that out only after your decision has been set in stone? Can anything be more tragic than that? That is not a future I want for anyone.
